JS harriers off to a fast start to kick off their season!
  • Students at harriers meet

The Junior School harriers team kicked off their season here on home turf as Trinity College School hosted the annual Lucky 13 cross-country meet last Thursday, September 21st. It was a beautiful day on the race course. The trails were dry, there was plenty of sunshine and the temperature was just right. Almost 500 runners from local public and independent schools made the journey to race here last Thursday.

Top 10 individual runners for TCS on the day included Finlay Gordon, who placed third in the Grade 7 boys race, and Nadia Kalisz, who finished in eighth place in the Grade 8 girls race.

The harriers team also brought home ribbons in some of the team categories too. The Grade 6 girls team of Chloe Wang, Miriam Stephens, Drolma Lai and Eliza McKenzie brought home fourth place ribbons. The Grade 7 boys team including Finlay Gordon, Ronan Thomas, Karl Thiebaud and Thomas Wang claimed third place overall. And, the Grade 8 girls team of Nadia Kalisz, Eleni Patsias, Crystal Ding and Claire Guan earned fourth place team honours.

Congratulations to all of our runners. We are proud of your efforts at our first meet of the season.

Special thanks go out to all the facilities department staff members for setting up the race course, to all of the Senior School and Junior School staff who volunteered their time on race day, and to the Grade 8 West class who marshalled the race course.
