Trinity College School’s Bigside boys rugby team hosted its first home game on Tuesday, May 2nd. The Bears beat Appleby College, 20-8. It was a close battle throughout but TCS pulled ahead in the second half.
Scoring trys for TCS were Aiden Lines, Doug Gibson and Ryan Horton. The entire team played quite well, but in addition to the try scorers, especially strong performances on the day came from Jack McLernon, Matt Anderson, Michael Moreau and Liam Gibson.
The team currently has a record of 1-2, with one more important CISAA league game against St. Andrew’s College next Saturday, May 13th at TCS. The team is coming together and has its sights set on making the playoffs.
