Sports Update: Rowing and Tennis
  • Rowing and Tennis Images

The spring season is almost at an end for Trinity College School’s student-athletes, with just a few sports still in action.

Rowing: Trinity College School’s rowing team headed to St. Catharines, May 31st to June 2nd, for the Canadian Secondary School Rowing Association (CSSRA) Championships. The regatta is the culmination of several weeks of training and early morning practices for our rowers and coaches. A highlight of the event, the mixed doubles team of Danie G. and Glen S. earned a fourth-place finish. The pair bested their time in the heats, from 8:06.70 down to 7:39.39 in the final – a significant achievement. Congratulations to the whole team on a great season of development! View photos from the CSSRA Championships.

Tennis: At the OFSAA Tennis Championships in Toronto, Serar O. and Roman E. represented TCS and the CISAA league in the mixed doubles open event. The duo lost their opening match in a close 6-8 contest to the second seed in the tournament. But they rebounded quickly to win their next two matches in the consolation draw, 8-3 and 8-4, including a win over the number one seed in the tournament. This put them in the consolation quarter-finals where their tournament ended with a 4-8 loss. Thank you to Serar and Roman for serving as wonderful ambassadors for the School at the provincial level!
