Guild Valentine’s Celebration is a chance to show we care

Trinity College School students were all smiles on Tuesday, February 11th, as the TCS Parents’ Guild hosted its annual Valentine’s Celebration in the Hawkins Mezzanine of Cirne Commons. Guild volunteers worked for weeks to organize this special day, and their efforts were appreciated by students and staff alike.

In the weeks leading up to the celebration, the guild collected orders for “Valentine Hugs” from parents, students and staff. The various packages included flowers, candy, cookies and stuffed Beanie Boos, as well as personal messages written to the recipients. Students were eager to head to the beautifully decorated mezzanine to pick up their treats! At the same time, a bake sale was held featuring tasty donated goods.

Thank you to everyone who ordered a Valentine Hug package or purchased bake sale items for supporting the guild’s important work. Through events such as this, the guild raises funds for a variety of student-centred programs, including “wish list” items proposed by faculty and staff. In recent years, guild donations have supported everything from financial assistance to sports equipment, musical instruments to outdoor classroom enhancements, archaeology supplies to guest speakers, and so much more.

Just as importantly, the Valentine’s Celebration was a chance for our school community to show its affection and gratitude for one another.

Special thanks go to the guild volunteers, led by special events co-chairs Nadia Viznyak P’24 ’26 and Kim Roblin P’22, for creating another successful Valentine’s Day at TCS!
