Morning chapel services on September 20th and 21st were a chance to reflect on the meaning of leadership through service as Senior School student leaders were officially installed for the 2021-2022 school year. This year, Senior School chapels are spread out over two days, with half of the houses attending on Mondays and Thursdays, and the other half on Tuesdays and Fridays, thus allowing for reduced chapel capacity while still providing the experience of in-person chapel services for all students.
On Monday, the prefects and the heads, assistant heads and peer mentors of Bethune, Brent, Ketchum, Wright and Orchard Houses received their leadership ties and pledged to uphold the values of TCS. Then, on Tuesday, the heads, assistant heads and peer mentors of Bickle, Burns, Scott, Rigby and Hodgetts were installed. As part of the services, their peers also committed to supporting our student leaders in their roles.
Our 2021-2022 prefects are: Bolu Abiola and Gordon Bennett (head prefects), Natasha Deichmann, Abby Hicks, Karina Lee, Madison Narciso, Brennon O’Grady, Tharun Shaji, Nadia Simmonds, Simon Spoor and Wyatt Woloshyn.
