The TCS Parents’ Guild enjoyed hosting a book club discussion about Suleika Jaouad’s autobiography, Between Two Kingdoms: A Memoir of a Life Interrupted. On Tuesday, February 8th a few parents joined in a Zoom meeting to chat about the well-written and deeply moving memoir.

The book chronicles Jaouad’s decision to travel across America, with her dog, sharing stories of the people she meets along the way and the healing inspired by her journey. As a cancer survivor, Jaouad learns about the way people move between the two kingdoms of sickness and wellness, and discovers for herself how to live again after facing her own mortality.

The passionate readers all agreed, though difficult at times, the book was heartwarming and left a lasting impression. Definitely worth the read!
