Capture Canada crew explores the city of Toronto

Trinity College School students were thrilled to have the opportunity to spend the Easter Break exploring our country with the relaunch of the Capture Canada long weekend travel program following a two-year hiatus. Between April 14th and 18th, the Capture Canada crew spent the weekend in Toronto touring all the popular sites, including the CN Tower, Ripley’s Aquarium, Nathan Phillips Square, Toronto Harbourfront, Royal Ontario Museum, Art Gallery of Ontario and Ontario Science Centre!

Students were immersed in the heritage of the buildings and the culture that make Toronto a world-class city. We saw the sights from the high above the city at the top of the CN Tower down to the city sidewalks and waterfront where students logged many miles of walking.

Shopping was a must at the Eaton Centre. And Mr. Peter Mao led the group on a city tour making stops at University of Toronto, Trinity College, graffiti alley and Chinatown.

Many laughs were shared along our travels, including at Makimono Restaurant, where we practiced using chopsticks, ate our favourite dishes and shared our favourite parts of the day.

The next Capture Canada trip will be a white water rafting adventure in Ottawa, scheduled for the May long weekend. We can’t wait to explore more of our incredible nation!
