Trinity College School is well positioned to foster digital learning and digital citizenship as we meet the current and future needs of a dynamic 21st century learning environment. Our use of leading edge resources, pedagogy and research enriches teaching and learning, as well as school operations.

All classrooms feature the most current digital equipment. Students take notes, receive and submit assignments, access handouts and supplementary web materials, and collaborate with teachers and fellow students through a campus-wide wireless network and by using our online learning management platform. As TCS students and faculty utilize a wide array of technology, they remain aware that this access to information and opinion amplifies the need for enlightened critical thinking skills and solid moral values. Never does the introduction of technology into the School's classrooms compromise the all-important contact between teacher and students.

Laptop Program

All Senior School students are required to have laptop computers, specifically Apple notebooks.

We have embraced the “bring your own Apple device” (BYOAD) program. We do at times require specific curriculum-related software, which will be provided, and the IT help desk will be able to repair and service student Apple devices as an Apple Certified Repair Centre. (Both the required software and any repair work will have associated costs.) We will also have Apple notebooks available for loan if a repair is needed, and for rent during the school year if preferred.

Additionally, our Junior School students enjoy the benefits of four class sets of Mac Air notebooks as well as access to iPads.

Wifi is robust throughout the School, including in residences, and the network and Internet can be accessed from anywhere on campus.

TCS uses the most current computer software, which includes Google GSuite and Microsoft® Office as our campus-wide productivity suites. All academic courses are accessible via an online learning management system (LMS), through which students can access homework, assignments and each course syllabus. The School’s learning management system, Edsby, improves communication between the student and teacher, particularly outside of class time, along with coaches, teams, arts and service learning groups, and is widely used by North American post-secondary institutions. Other technologies, including Apple TV and LCD projectors, are standard in all TCS classrooms, and make the delivery of curriculum engaging for students and faculty alike.
