Guild kicks off the year in high tech fashion
  • TCS Parents Guild Executive Committee

The Trinity College School Parents’ Guild welcomed a full house of parents to Osler Hall on Wednesday, September 20th, for its first official event of the 2023-2024 school year. The “welcome breakfast” was a chance for parents to learn more about the guild, and to get to know fellow parents in a fun, social setting.

As parents enjoyed delicious food prepared by the culinary services team, Stuart Grainger, head of Trinity College School, spoke about the wonderful work done by the guild to make daily life even better for the students at TCS. Founded in 1902, the TCS Parents’ Guild is the oldest existing organization of its kind in Canada. The guild raises funds for purchases that enhance the student experience – from water bottle filling stations to music instruments, sports equipment, teaching aids and more – and also supports the chapel as well as student financial assistance.

The breakfast provided an opportunity for parents to meet members of the guild executive, led by current president Chantal Campbell P’25 ’27. As well, special guest speaker Myke Healy, assistant head of Senior School – teaching & learning, provided an illuminating presentation on the impact of artificial intelligence on education.

All parents are guild members and are invited to support the guild’s mission by volunteering, attending events and participating in fundraising initiatives. The guild was excited to share with parents the plans for its largest event of the year – Bear Fair – taking place on September 23rd.
