Trinity College School’s debate team welcomed a new season of competitive debating, with many veterans as well as new members this year. The team kicked things off with the fall Fulford League competition, last Friday, October 27th, hosted at Country Day School.

Founded in 1948, the Fulford League provides a forum for independent school students to engage in debates at three tournaments per year.

With chaperone Ms. Allyn Whitehead, TCS sent the Junior team of Roger Zhang and Wyatt Sharpe and Senior team of Nicholas Shi and Keefer Carriere. There were three rounds of debate at each level, with all three Senior debates in the impromptu format and just the final round of Junior debate being impromptu.

Both teams performed well, but special congratulations to our Junior team which came in second place and to Wyatt Sharpe who took first place overall!
