Grade 7 classes explore Ottawa!

The Grade 7 classes traveled to Ottawa to see our government in action and to visit amazing museums, May 3rd-5th. We also had lots of opportunities for fun with friends too.

On the first day we stopped in to the Canadian Museum of History where we saw a 42-foot-long canoe. We were also able to see lots about the 7 Years War and a cool installation about television with old TV sets and shows. Then we checked into our hotels and then we went for dinner and then bowling.

On day 2, after breakfast, we boarded Jose’s bus and got a tour of Sussex Drive by Dina, the tour guide. After, we walked to Parliament and saw the eternal flame of the 100th anniversary of the Canadian Confederation. Then we went to the Supreme Court of Canada and saw a courtroom and participated in a pretend debate of a theft case. We also visited the Rideau Centre and played an amazing game of laser tag that night too.

On day 3, we went to the War Museum and then to Byward Market to have lunch and then had some fun on the way home. Overall, it was an amazing trip and a super fun time to hang with our friends. Thanks to all our teachers for taking us.
