Bear Fair “reboot” reconnects our global school community
  • Bear Fair “reboot” reconnects our global school community

The volunteers of the Trinity College School Parents’ Guild welcomed all to campus on Saturday, September 24th for Bear Fair – a day of fun, dedicated to celebrating our school community. Held on the same day as several other TCS events, including the Alumni Celebration and alumni games, the 2022 Bear Fair was amongst the busiest ever.

Bear Fair is a chance for both fundraising and friend-raising, as the guild uses proceeds from the day to support its mission of improving the daily lives of TCS students. Through features such as the silent auction, bake sale and book sale, international food stations and more, community members were able to contribute to this mission and also enjoy great treats and purchases!

For children, there were giant-sized version of classic games like Kerplunk, Connect 4 and Jenga, a bouncy castle, mini-golf, a clown creating balloon animals and, new this year, the chance to get a hug – aka a “shmurgle” – from the four-legged residents of nearby Haute Goat farm.

A special treat for everyone was a live performance by the Senior jazz band, Jazz@4.

The theme for this year’s event was “Reboot – Reconnect – Reimagine” and the TCS Parents’ Guild certainly did this. After a two-year hiatus, Bear Fair returned as a much-needed chance to build the spirit of community. Thank you to all of the volunteers, sponsors and donors who made this special day possible.
