Trinity College School’s Bigside and Middleside girls rugby sevens teams both played three amazing games each on Monday, May 2nd. It was a lot of the girls’ first games, and it was quite the accomplishment and a lot of fun.

Middleside results

• TCS vs LCS (22-10)
  Tries: Addy O’Grady (3 +1 convert), Maggie McLean
  The first game started strong against Lakefield. For a lot of the girls, this was their first time playing a game. They showed amazing teamwork and worked hard for the win.
   
• TCS vs Greenwood (5-24)
  Tries: Addy O’Grady
  The second game was against a strong Greenwood team, but Middleside still fought strong. They played amazing and put up a great fight.
   
• TCS vs CDS (0-20)
  This was a hard game and the last of the day. After a long day, Middleside played outstanding and had a great start to the season.

Bigside results

• TCS vs HC (22-12)
  Tries: Christy Boswell, Malinka Kwemo, Sophie O’Hea, Natasha Diechmann (+1 convert)
  This was Bigside’s first game and the team came out strong and tough. It was the first game for many players, and for some of us it was our first game in three years.
   
• TCS vs Appleby (15-0)
  Tries: Emma Olazabal Salgado, Malinka Kwemo (2)
  Again, another great game by the Bigside girls. Lots of determination and hard work against another great team, but TCS brought the strength and power.
   
• TCS vs HSC (10-10)
  Tries: Malinka Kwemo (2)
  After a long day on Monday, this was a close last game and ended in a tie. All the girls played very well and are ready for their next games!
