Bigside ties presented to 32 student-athletes

The fall term of sports at Trinity College School was unique this year, with teams focused on skill development and instilling habits of the heart and mind, in the absence of competitive matches. Many of our student-athletes rose to the occasion, demonstrating leadership, growth and dedication in their co-curricular athletic commitments.

On Thursday, December 10th during the full Senior School virtual chapel service, Director of Athletics Cristy Drake – with the help of athletics stewards Sydney Mueller and Katrina Wang – announced the recipients of Bigside ties for the fall term of sports.

Ties are awarded to athletes upon the completion of their third season on a Bigside team during their TCS careers. To earn a tie, athletes also must satisfy all of the criteria for Colours, such as valuing team goals over personal recognition, and demonstrating respect to their coaches, officials, teammates and opponents.

Grade 11 students earning Bigside ties are: Ava Becker, Abigail Hicks, Silas Hodges, Garrett Joss, Mika Lindstrom, Luque Lockhart, Reese McGee, Logan McGivery, Charlie Simmonds, Sarah Voth and Mitchell Wong.

Grade 12 recipients are: Aya Al-Ali, Kaitlyn Chan, Findlay Conacher, Matthew Czubak, Nicholas Deichmann, Quinton Gibson, John Grieve, Emile Hameury, Loretta Hu, Max Keiser, Gregory Kragaris, Aaron Lancaster, Carly Lin, Grace Lu, Addy Malpas, Luca Mascarin, Elizabeth McArthur, Alex Northey, Josh Paddock, Braden Shaw and Taliesin Shepherd.

Congratulations to these student-athletes for their achievements!
