Dance Troupe celebrates the season at Santa Claus Parade

The Trinity College School Dance Troupe was invited for the first time to participate in the Santa Claus Parade celebrated in Port Hope on December 1st. Due to COVID-19 protocols, the Christmas parade was a very different experience from previous years. It was a stationary parade in which families were able to drive by the floats and performers to experience the joy of this holiday season.

The site allowed families to drive by starting at noon and the parade did not finish until 2:30 p.m. The TCS Dance Troupe has been divided into three groups this year and the girls danced within their grade cohorts. The members of the Grade 12 group are Ashley Jung, Waverley DiNova, Megan Zammit, Subaru Fujimoto, Lily Lai and Yena Lee. The Grade 11 group includes Amelie Lynn, Chloe Kim and Neyha Billing, while our Grade 10 dancer is Eliza Datoo.

The Dance Troupe performed some Christmas songs with choreography created by Mrs. Stephanie Booth, our dance instructor, and it brought joy to many local families. Throughout the parade, the Dance Troupe was celebrated for its performance, and many families were clapping as they passed by.

Congratulations to our talented and hard-working dancers!
