Competitive debaters represent TCS with pride
  • Competitive debaters represent TCS with pride

It was a busy day in debate on Saturday, February 25th, as students from Trinity College School’s debate team competed at a trio of tournaments. Participating in multiple rounds at each event, students debated about a wide range of topics, including science and technology, international relations, artificial intelligence and education, environmental policies, energy and natural resources, government policies and more.

Students represented TCS very well across each of the three competitions. Arjun Sharma, Hayden Frost, Tanay Langhe and Nicolas Shi travelled to MacLachlan College for the Winter Fulford League competition. TianTian Dong, Haron Wang, Katie Gunther and Oliver Lynn attended the Ontario Student Debating Union Provincial Championships virtually on Zoom.

And one student, Roger Zhang, competed at the Winter Western Debate Tournament and proudly placed first overall (out of 125 competitors) in the Junior Speaker Category and seventh overall (out of 185) in the tournament.

Congratulations to all of the debaters, and thank you for representing your fellow Bears and Trinity College School so well!
