Lola Obomighie P’26 ’29
Lola is currently the vice president – people, culture and organizational effectiveness at Northumberland Hills Hospital in Cobourg. In her role, Lola oversees a large portfolio comprising of human resources, quality, patient safety, risk, decision support, volunteers, food services, environmental services and medical devices reprocessing.
Lola holds a B.Sc. with Honours in economics and statistics and a M.Sc. in human resources management. In addition, Lola holds the professional designation of Certified Human Resources Leader with the Human Resources Professionals Association Ontario, Certified Associate in Project Management with the Project Management Institute and she is a chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development England. Lola has extensive HR, quality and risk experience gained from a progressive career in private, public and the not-for-profit sectors in both England and more recently Ontario. Lola has previous governing board experience when she was on the governing board in Swindon College, England. Lola is pleased to be part of the TCS community where she has served in a volunteer capacity on the TCS governance committee since 2020, and as part of the TCS Task Force to End Anti-Black Racism in 2020-2021.
Since relocating from the U.K. a few years ago, Lola and her family have taken root in the GTA. Lola is married to Jude who is a family physician in Port Hope, and they live in Courtice with their two exceptional children Hannah ’26 and Oshio ’29. When Lola isn’t spending time with her family, she is watching a good show. Lola and her family love to travel and, being a Christian family, Lola is an active member of her church and sings in her church choir.
