The entire TCS community is encouraged to take part in this year’s Earth Hour, set for Saturday, March 26th from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. in your local time zone. For one hour, families are invited to turn off their lights, wherever possible, to raise awareness of climate change and the actions we can all take to reduce our environmental footprint.

We encourage you to take a photo of your family’s participation and email it to us at communications@tcs.on.ca, direct message us on Facebook or Instagram (@TCSBears), or post to social media with #EarthHouratTCS so that we can share our community’s actions!

The Earth Hour blog has lots of great ideas on how you can spend the hour as a family, such as enjoying “dinner in the dark,” camping out in your living room, playing board games by candlelight, or spending the time learning more about the environment by watching a documentary or signing petitions in support of climate change initiatives.
