Alumni Networking Night develops TCS connections

Trinity College School’s third Alumni Networking Night, and second in Toronto, saw more than 60 Old Boys and Old Girls from the class of 2016 back to the class of 1967 convene at the Fifth Social Club to connect with fellow graduates across a range of professions the evening of May 8th.

This event is part of the BearTracks Network, a program created to help TCS alumni connect with fellow alumni in various professional fields.

The evening began with welcomes from Headmaster Stuart Grainger and Julia (Bakker) Osmar ’06 who, as president of the TCS Alumni Association, spearheaded this event along with the alumni association executive committee. Both spoke of the power of the TCS connection in the professional and business lives of alumni of the School and encouraged those in attendance to make as many connections as possible, not only at the event, but in our lives.

Those in attendance then split into breakout sessions where they were placed into a group of four or five alumni and given a chance to network in an informal, relaxed setting. Moving through the three sessions, the goal was for everyone to come away with 10 to 15 new connections by the end of the evening.

The success of the event was due to a great turnout, lots of energy amongst the participants and the wide range of “generations” that took part.
