Parent volunteers create sweet Valentine’s memories

Valentine’s at Trinity College School was a joyful – and sweet – experience for students, as volunteers of the TCS Parents’ Guild helped our community “share the love.”

Events began in the Senior School on February 13th, when the guild hosted its annual Valentine’s Celebration. Earlier in the month, students, staff and parents had the opportunity to pre-order “hug” packages that were distributed on this day. Gifts including chocolate chip cookies, candies, popcorn and Squishmallows were distributed by guild volunteers, to the delight of recipients. The guild also hosted a delicious bake sale, with many community members stepping up to donate treats. Throughout the day, students sported the colours of Valentine’s Day – red, white and pink. And in the evening, many enjoyed a fun event hosted by the school prefects. The annual “My Prefect Valentine” is a game-show themed activity complete with prizes, plus snacks for contestants and audience members alike. Kudos to the student organizers!

On February 14th, lunchtime in Osler Hall included special heart-shaped pasta created by the culinary services team.

Then, on Thursday, it was the Junior School’s opportunity to celebrate. Their “hug” packages were distributed, and class Valentine’s parties were also held. Students were happy to sport their red, white and pink non-uniform clothes, and to enjoy fun activities such as crafts, along with special snacks.

Thank you so much to the guild volunteers, the bake sale donors and all those who ordered “hug” packages. You not only brought many smiles to the faces of students and staff, but you also played an important role in supporting the guild’s fundraising efforts which contribute to initiatives that enhance daily life for students at TCS.
