Trinity College School’s Littleside boys basketball team was among the field of 56 schools from across Ontario at the Peterborough Kawartha Classic Basketball Tournament, February 9th-10th. This is one of the largest high school basketball tournaments hosted in Canada and has been running since 1990. The Littleside squad included eight fantastic athletes, with a few teammates absent due to injuries or travel.

The Bears posted a final tally of two wins and two losses, and competed with heart, grit and teamwork. They won their match-ups versus Lakefield College School and Haliburton High School, but had two tough games against Owen Sound High School and Holy Trinity High School.

The team’s impressive defensive energy was noted by the opposing coaches and the players are hopeful this experience will best prepare them for their upcoming CISAA league playoff game at Greenwood College on Wednesday, February 21st at 1:00 p.m.

A shout-out to Cameron Joyal, who was named the team's MVP of the tournament. He was a force to be reckoned with on the court, a leading scorer and rebounder with many defensive stops.

Coach Sham and Coach Elson are so proud of the team’s progress throughout this season; their sportsmanship and hard work were amplified during tournament play. They represented TCS so well!
