Slow Start Day

In consideration of the busy pace of life at TCS, there are several “Slow Start Days” scheduled for Senior School students throughout the academic year. These days allow for educational staff to take part in meetings, and for students to have a bit slower start to the school day.

Details:

• Breakfast will be available, but there will be no sign-in (day students are welcome to join). Students may choose to use this time to sleep in, to read or catch up on schoolwork, or to make use of the fitness centre facilities.
• Day buses will run as per the regular schedule.
• Students’ formal commitments begin with chapel at 9:50 a.m., followed by four shortened classes as well as lunch and a flex period. Co-curriculars take place as usual. Students will receive an email reminder with details of the adjusted schedule in advance of the Slow Start Day.
• The regular uniform dress code is in effect (with the exception of Bickle House, which has a planned non-uniform day earned through the holiday contest).
